Enduring the sweat on my hands, I arrange slices of sausages and pineapples orderly in the tin tray. All I could do, is to stroke the bumps on the edge of the tray, hoping that the condensed sweats will not appear suddenly. The beginning of the carnival also implies its very end. ‘Bang!’ Colourful confetti flutters in the air along with our effort, bearing with our memorable experiences. Overwhelmed by intricate emotions, we then immerse in people’s praise.

The theme of the B.A. Graduate exhibition in 2021 is ‘This is How We Dance Before the Apocalypse’. Twenty-four graduates attempted to find a way out within the swirl of difficulties and hardships while struggling with banter and solemnity; insanity and rationality; sorrow and joy. The pineapples and the sausages are surely to be connected by a bamboo stick. Maybe we all are stubborn not to give it up.
