The Art Museum of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) presents the exhibition “Celebrating the Year of the Horse”, showcasing over 40 sets of horse-related artefacts from the Museum’s collection. The exhibition is divided into two sections, “From Draft to Mount”and“Galloping for Desires”. From the perspectives of technology and culture, this exhibition focuses on the significant, rich and diverse roles of horse throughout Chinese history. Exhibit highlights include exquisite paintings that capture the spirit and elegance of horses in diverse ways, such as the monumental One Hundred Steeds, masterpieces from renowned horse painters, Zhang Mu(1607-1683) and Yin Shoushi(1919-1998).
