The Art Museum of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Institute will co-organise the Second Conference of the Society of International Ceramic Studies (SICS), and the subject will be “The Origin and Global Circulation of Blue and White.” Sponsored by Bei Shan Tang Foundation and Lee Hysan Foundation, the Symposium will take place at CUHK from November 20 to 22, 2025, in conjunction with the special exhibition “Yuan Blue and White: New Discoveries from Jingdezhen.” Drawing upon recent archaeological discoveries, the Conference aims to explore the origins of blue-and-white porcelain and its unique role in global trade and cultural exchange through interdisciplinary perspectives. Scholars and experts from diverse fields will gather to exchange ideas and trace the historical trajectory of blue-and-white porcelain.
