
“Yuan Blue and White: New Discoveries from Jingdezhen” Lecture Series complements the titled special exhibition. Centered on Yuan blue-and-white porcelain, it invites scholars to explore key archaeological findings, conservation practices, as well as the production, trade, and consumption of Yuan blue-and-white. These perspectives guide audiences to understand Yuan dynasty’s ceramics industry and its cross-cultural exchanges.

Speaker Bio
Li Zhang , Lecturer, School of Archaeology and Museology, Jingdezhen Ceramic University. His research focuses on conservation and restoration of ceramic cultural artifacts, and the study of ancient Chinese ceramic craftsmanship. He has presided over and participated in multiple ceramic cultural artifacts restoration projects.
Abstract
Through ceramic artifact restoration cases, this lecture expounds the concepts, principles and types of ceramic artifact restoration, and analyzes the restoration difficulties with the CUHK Art Museum Porcelain Artifact Restoration Project.
